Main floor
The main floor until 3 a.m.
Every day, main-floor tables operate from 2 p.m. to 3 a.m., dealing Roulette, Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold'em and Free Bet Blackjack. What about Let It Ride? It runs on Friday and Saturday only, so anyone leaving a show on another night will not find it afterwards.
Which of those tables are open, and at what minimum? Both depend on how busy the floor is. The list above is the full set of games. It is not a promise for any one hour after the curtain. That is the way to read it when planning the hour after the show.
High-limit
High-limit hours
The high-limit area keeps later hours and is open every day from 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. There you will find Roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Blackjack and Ruyi Baccarat. What happens if the night runs beyond 3 a.m., when the main floor closes? Play continues here until 4 a.m., one extra hour. Before the show begins, the guide recommends checking which closing time applies.
The clock
Atlantic time and holidays
Every time on this site is Atlantic time, the clock in Halifax. A night that opens on one date closes after midnight, once the calendar has already turned. Poker after a Saturday show, for instance, carries you to 2 a.m. on Sunday. Holiday hours are not posted, so they are worth checking on the venue's own site or by phone at 902.425.7777.
Poker
Poker, four nights a week
Poker runs from Wednesday through Saturday, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., with Pot-Limit Omaha and No Limit Texas Hold'em on the tables. The Halifax casino is the only place in Nova Scotia to find live poker.
And a show on a Monday or Tuesday? There is no poker after it, because poker is not dealt on those nights or on Sunday. On the four poker nights, the 2 a.m. finish comes an hour before the main floor closes. The weekday printed on the ticket is worth a look before any game is planned.
Machines
Slots and electronic tables
As of April 2025, NSGC counted 587 slot machines and 28 tables at the Halifax casino. The electronic tables in Halifax are $3 Craps and $5 Blackjack.
And when does the slot floor open and close? The casino pages give no hours for it, so this guide does not list any. The phone line answers that question: 902.425.7777. That question fits neatly into the same call that confirms a dinner table.
